2005-2014: Elected as General Secretary of Pabna District Awami League.

1971: He Actively Participated in the liberation war in 1971. Having taken military training at the Dehradum Camp, India. He led liberation war in wider free zone of Pabna. His younger brother Abdul Khalek received martyrdom during the glorious liberation war 1971.
