Brief about Library

Parliament library as known as Jatiya Sangsad Library, is one of the richest libraries in Bangladesh. The library started in 1972 at Old Sangsad Bhaban, Tejgaon, Dhaka, immediately after the formation of Costituent Assembly of Bangladesh. In 1985, It was shifted at present Sangsad Bhaban, Shere-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

Objective:

The Primary aim of this Library is to support the Law-makers,the Staff of Parliament Secretariates. The library is also committed to widening participation and access to many of the services is provided for researchers.
