Brief about Library
Parliament library, also known as Jatiya Sangsad Library, is one of the richest libraries in Bangladesh. The library started in 1972 at Old Sangsad Bhaban, Tejgaon, Dhaka, immediately after the formation of Constituent Assembly of Bangladesh. In 1985, it was shifted to the present Sangsad Bhaban, Shere-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
Objective
The Primary aim of this Library is to support the Law-makers, the Staff of Parliament Secretariates. The library is also committed to widening participation and access to many of the services is provided for researchers.
